OH & S Support – Major Maintenance

Client:

Wisely has been engaged to provide safety support services for a major mining client since 2015. With a particular focus on major preventative plant maintenance. Wisely have implemented ongoing major shutdown crews of Permit Officers and Safety Advisors for all major plant shuts across multiple sites.

Major scope items:

• Facilitate electronic intelli-permit to work process for each major shutdown
• Provide coaching and mentoring for crews and supervision in relation to safety awareness
• Crews consisting of 2 permit officers and 1 safety advisor per shift to facilitate all permit to work systems
• Incident investigation support provided by highly experienced safety professionals
• Hazard identification and rectification
• Establish and promote shutdown safety alignment sessions

Interesting fact: Tool time has been significantly increased since the introduction of the electronic “Intellipermit System”.
