Mechanical Overhaul of the Raw Coal Handling Facility The annual CPP1 shutdown was undertaken at the Goonyella Coal Preparation Plant during the month of November in 2017. A major portion of the scope of works for the shutdown consisted of the overhaul of the breaker station, which included the critical path of the shutdown in the replacement of the 50t breaker barrels within the structure. To aid in the process there were pre-works completed in order to set up the temporary external structure in order to skate the breaker barrels free of the structure. Once this was completed and the chutes, screens, barrels etc were removed and replaced.
